Cooking is fun at Firle

Each week the children explore food, healthy eating and develop key cooking skills through in class cookery sessions linked to the School Curriculum. Focussing on locally sourced and fresh ingredients the children are encouraged to taste new foods and develop a rich understanding of how food is produced in our local farming community. As well as traditional foods the children have the opportunity to prepare seasonal vegetables, fish, meat and game There is also an after school cookery club that culminates each year with the Kids Kitchen Restaurant. This is an opportunity for the children to cook and serve a three course meal to their parents and guests.
