At Firle, computing, ICT and emerging technologies are central to our learning opportunities. We teach children foundational ICT skills including accessing, storing, retrieving, recording and communicating information. A fully mobile class set of laptops as well as access to a group of iPad tablets are available for use across the curriculum to extend all areas of learning. In line with the New Curriculum of 2014, children from Key Stage 1 onwards are taught the principles of computer programming including algorithmic and computational thinking, working towards being able to creatively produce and debug their own programs. All children are carefully taught the principles of e-safety and a high profile is maintained across the curriculum and with parents.
