The History curriculum begins in Key Stage 1 with a study of the children’s own experiences, past and present. In Key Stage 2 pupils look back to previous centuries and examine different cultures and civilisations. School visits to key places provide the children with first hand experiences.

The children’s immediate environment is the starting point for the geography curriculum. Over several years, the pupils will ‘journey’ from their local surroundings to far away places on the planet. Our history of links with Malawi has provided genuine links for learning about global citizenship.
